Spokespersons Bridge Gap between People, Government, Mostafavi

Kabul (BNA) The Deputy Minister of Publication of the Ministry of Information & Culture insisted on delivering true information to the people during a gathering of government spokespersons held in Government Media & Information Center here yesterday, BNA reported.
“Spokespersons shouldering crucial  task of delivering information to people.
They are needed to be very much precise, as the propaganda war has different dimensions rather than the physical war”, Mostafavi said, adding that media plays key role in the society and people looking forward to receive their information through them.
Mostafavi went on saying that the commission on overseeing of access to information has 13 members from different organizations and has active branches in different organs and would be soon extended to provinces.
The deputy minister hinting to importance of organizing such gatherings said that would further improve coordination and according to her, is need to be continued.
Later on, acting director for the local organs Mohammad Nadir Yama said that provincial spokespersons are having crucial jobs of delivering information on behalf of the local governments to people, adding that would share their problems with authorities concerned.
Mujib-ul-Rahman Rahimi spokesman to chief executive said that spokesperson are indeed the bridge between people and the government.
Hinting to achievements of the last 15 years, Rahimi asked for safeguarding the freedom of expression in the country, adding that spokespersons reflecting the image of government and should responsibility go through their duties.
Deputy spokesman for the president Dawa Khan Minapal said that main responsibility of the provincial spokespersons are to mobilize people in order to defend their national interests, asking spokespersons to draft a plan for foiling vicious plans of the enemies through delivering information to local media.
Tawab Ghurzang spokesman to National Security Council, and Sefatullah Safi, head of the Government Media & Information Center (GMIC) also spoke related to the gathering.
