“Women’s Rights Are Human Rights,” Minister Safi

Kabul (BNA) 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and ending the 16-day campaign of the elimination of violence against women were marked in a ceremony started with the speech of acting minister of information and culture Hasina Safi.
In the ceremony organized by MoIC with participation of a number of officials and representatives of various government organs, officials of the MoIC, representatives of women rights’ civil society activists and foreign guests, acting minister of information and culture briefed related to goals of the 16-day campaign of elimination of violence aganst women launched by the MoIC and said they wanted to promote the culture of elimination of violence against women in all levels in the ministry of information and culture, adding a supportive system would be created for the elimination of violence against women.
Stressing on awareness towards implementation of all laws, regulations and programs supporting women rights and counter violence against women, acting minister of information and culture asserted that women rights was human rights, a short sentence with a big concept  that should be paid attention as it meant women have the rights to reach their principal rights.  Meanwhile, Hasina Safi also praised officials of various departments for MoIC and other institutions cooperating with the ministry during the 16-day campaign of the elimination of violence against women.
