Afghanistan-China sign practical plan for implementing joint strategic statement, two cooperation agreements

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with the high-ranking Chinese delegation led by member of political bureau of Chinese People’s Communist Party Zoiangkong yesterday.
At the meeting held at the presidential office, both sides discussed expansion and further consolidation of relations between the two nations and realization of action plan for implementation of the joint strategic statement between the two countries.
President Karzai welcomed the delegation and thanked China for its assistance in the past ten years to Afghanistan and said that we are in favor of further expansion of ties between the two nations.  Touching on the issue that China has been among the first countries that have invested in different spheres in Afghanistan in the recent years, he said that we want that these investments expand.  He called China as honest friend of Afghanistan and stressed that Afghanistan wants further expansion of relations with the countries of this region especially the friendly China.  He linked security of this region to the cooperation of the regional countries and stressed that in order to over-come the common security threats, the countries of this region should jointly work.  Zoiangkong told president Karzai that the aim of his and his accompanying delegation visit to Afghanistan is for realization of the decisions that were taken during the visit of the president of Afghanistan and his meeting with the Chinese president in relation to the strategic cooperation between the two nations.  He added that China wants improved life of the people of Afghanistan and we want to expand our cooperation with Afghanistan.  He expressed the willingness of his country in investment in Afghanistan and hoped that more Chinese investors come to Afghanistan and invest in different spheres here.
After this meeting the plan of action for implementation of the joint strategic statement between Afghanistan and China and two cooperation agreements in different security and economic spheres were signed among the in charges of the two countries.
Mohammad Karim Khalili second vice-president, Dr. Rangeen Dadfar Spanta National Security Advisor, Habibullah Ghalib Justice Minister, Anwarulhaq Ahadi Minister of Commerce and Industries,  Assadullah Khalid General Director of National Security and deputy minister of interior affairs were also present.
The agreement on action plan for implementation of the joint strategic statement between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the People’s Republic of China was signed by Jawed Ludeen deputy minister for political affairs at the ministry of foreign affairs and the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan.  The agreement on technical-economic spheres valued at 150 million Yuhan was signed by Anwarul Haq Ahadi Minister of Commerce and Industries and deputy minister of foreign affairs of China.  Meanwhile, the agreement for assistance for completion of police equipment between Afghanistan and China was signed by deputy minister of interior affairs and deputy minister of public security of China.
