CE Asks Pakistan To Extend Time-Table For Afghan Refugees

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a meeting yesterday with Pakistan minister of refugees Abdul Qadir Baluch asked Pakistan to extend time for Afghan unregistered refugees in the respective country.
He added that the refugees should be behaved according to the international relevant conventions and laws and Afghan refugees living in Pakistan should be kept away of any political changes. The country’s chief executive insisted on particular attention to businesses, economic and education activities of those Afghan refugees returning to their country and the refugees should not be forced to sell their properties in nothing and return to Afghanistan. Chief executive also recalled that the government of Pakistan should take care of those Afghans who have married Pakistani women and were now facing with separation threat. Afterwards, the Pakistani minister of refugees Abdul Qadir Baluch said that Pakistan and Afghan sides have agreed in Maree meeting that Afghan refugees would not be annoyed and not be forced to return to their homeland, but in Khyber Pakhtonkhwa the agreement has been violated. He added that the government would act based on joint agreement in connection with Afghan refugees.
