Minister Rabbani, Tajikistan President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani met Imam Ali Rahman president of Tajikistan here the other day, the MoFA said in a statement.
Minister of Foreign Affairs praised Tajikistan’s role in RECA meeting, Istanbul Process, and Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan and emphasized on neighboring country’s important role in the region.
Hinting to importance of counternarcotic and counterterrorism, Tajik president asked for national and international consensus to fight the above two problems, the statements said.
Talking on bilateral cultural and education cooperation, Minister Rabbani asked Tajikistan side to provide master’s degree and PhD scholarships for Afghan academic institutions, the MoFA statement added.
Both sides also discussed political, economic, cultural and social cooperation, the statement concluded.
