At least 5 killed, many injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI (BNA): A wave of nocturnal violence has snuffed out many lives since midnight here in the most populous city of Pakistan, Geo News reported Sunday morning.
Apart from fatal armed attacks, at least three passenger buses were also torched in parts of Karachi by violent vandals.
According to police sources two people were shot dead near the Parking Plaza in Sadar area of the city, whereas rescue sources informed Geo News that two freshly killed bodies, trussed up in gunnysacks, were found in Kharadar area.
In another incident, unknown armed men shot and injured four men near Gurumandir area. According to police the victims of this attack were young students.
Moreover two people were also reported to have survived an armed attack near Shah Faisal Bridge. They were under treatment in a hospital.
