Deputy PM Tasked Relevant Departments in Addressing the Situation of Flood Victims

KABUL (BNA) Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Deputy Prime Minister expressed concern and tasked relevant departments to reach assisting those families who suffered from heavy rainfall and flash floods across the country.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Deputy Prime Minister, conveyed his condolences and sympathy to the families of deluge victims and called on the relevant departments to reach assistance to the families across the country, said a press release on Saturday.

The Deputy Prime Minister tasked the relevant organizations to provide the essential assistance to the families of deluge victims, further added the statement.

Hundreds of families have been suffered floods in the early days in some provinces across the country.

In addition to financial losses, the floods also caused casualties, said, local officials.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has called on countries and international aid organizations to provide assistance to families affected by the floods.

Following the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pakistan Ambassador in Kabul publicized the transfer of the first humanitarian aid consignment to Afghanistan.

Mansoor Ahmad Khan Pakistan ambassador reported landing first the country’s humanitarian aid consignment on Saturday on his Twitter page, the aid contains medicine and food and will be distributed to the victims of the recent floods in Afghanistan.
