2nd National Debate Appraised Post-2014 Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA)  In endeavor of ministry of information and cultural the 2nd national debate evaluated a number of key issued pertaining the country including Afghanistan’s political perspective, ways of reaching to sustainable peace and post-2014 political and economic scenario of the country and most importantly holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country and good governance.
The debate was attended by large number of intellectuals, academicians, writers, political commentators, analysts, representatives of civil society institutions and media persons and the participants discussed and assessed serious of socioeconomic challenges confronted by the country.
Meanwhile, a number of political commentators and analysts have interpreted holding of the second national debate from diverse perspectives and believe that only discussions doesn’t support Afghanistan in getting rid from the ongoing and future threats and national consensus over the national issues should be forged to overcome on the issue faced the country.
Commenting on the topic, Ahmad Wali Masood said that consensus over national issues were the main requisite of the country in the view if current circumstances as the country currently confronting major threats internally and externally and only the government wasn’t capable of tackling these challenges and it requires collective cooperation and contribution of the nation to revive our legacy and lead the war-battered country towards socioeconomic opulence after 2014. Masood announced security as one of the basic requirements of Afghanistan and we have to increase public trust on the 350,000 armed services strength that these forces were capable to handle security responsibilities effectively after the withdraw of international troops in 2014 including national trust on an alternative economic plan that could replace current economy in post-2014 years and added that first of all we have to diagnose the challenges in professional and comprehensive manner particularly misconceptions among the general public and their mistrusts on post-2014 Afghanistan in order to create the environment of peace and trust. Member of civil society institution Ajmal Balochzada said that the people of Afghanistan pass through series of institutions and extraordinary circumstances and these situations one day would be responsibility of this nation but emphasized that role of intellectual and politicians were quite important in this respect adding that debates shouldn’t remain only a venue for exchange of views between the intellectuals, we have to adopt practical measures for implementation of our ideas. Political analyst Bashir Bezhan expressed satisfaction over endeavor of ministry of information and cultural for holding this debate and said that for a prosperous Afghanistan we have to forge consensus over national issues asking the intellectuals to hear each other’s` voice with deliberation and full patience to bring the country out of this crisis. In the debate, security officials of the country talked about war moral and military capabilities of Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and reiterated that Afghan armed services were completely prepared to secure the country from any threats in joint cooperation of the people of Afghanistan. Commenting on the topic, General Afzal Aman talked on behalf of ministry of national defense said that numbers of the volunteers in the national army have reached to at least 195,000 personnel and this figure could a great achievement both to the Afghan people and the government both to the Afghan people and the government and reiterated that cooperation of Afghan people with their armed forces further develop their war morals and patriotism feelings for safeguarding their motherland from the evil intentions. This came after ministry of information and culture of the Islamic republic of Afghanistan in the past has organized series of seminars, conferences and meetings on different national issues and topics which have great reputation in political sphere of the country after 2014.
