Takhar Jihadists, Ulema Form Anti-Taliban Resistance Council

Kabul (BNA) Jihadi commanders and Ulema of Takhar have stressed in a vast gathering on counter terrorism and Taliban, asking the government to be decisive in fighting Taliban in the country.
Jihadi commanders while regarding insecurities in Northern provinces of the country as a plot called Taliban as enemy of the people and values of jihad and religion, emphasizing that they were ready to defend their people and homeland as before.
In the gathering, a people’s resistance council was set up against the Taliban. All participants in the council considered their goal as counter Taliban, supporting security forces and social values.
Special envoy to President Ahmad Zia Masoud considered role of jihadi commanders and Ulema as key in defending the people and country, saying that creating the council was important for fighting Taliban in the country in current circumstances.
