Badakhshan (BNA) Over 100 Taliban insurgents were killed in Wardoj District, Badakhshan province.
The Taliban were targeted during the retreat of the District by air and ground raids of Afghan security troops and killed.
Nek Mohammad Nazari spokesman for Badakhshan governor told BNA correspondent, Taliban controlled Wardoj District for five years, more than 100 insurgents were killed during the recapturing of this district, dozens of local commander of them were killed and tens others were injured in the operation.
Security situation of 15 villages including Chakaran center of the mentioned district returned to normal, and now military efforts are underway to recapture 19 more villages in the district.
