Kabul (BNA) Attending an academic conference on the philosophy of Abdu Rayhan Al-Biruni and strongly condemning Wednesday’s twice suicide attack in Dasht-e-Barchi locality of Kabul, President Ashraf Ghani said the people of Afghanistan would continue protecting their peaceful co-existence and mutual acceptance in the face of enemy’s vicious plans.
As many as 25 people including two journalists have been martyred and over nearly 90 others wounded, following Wednesday’s incident, when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive packed vest inside a wrestling gym in the Kabul vicinity.
According to a statement from the Presidential Palace, the president said terrorists and their supporters should know they could never harm the unity and brotherhood of the people of Afghanistan with their brutal and criminal acts.
The country’s president offered his deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished early recovery for those wounded in the terrorist attack.
Referring to the philosophy of Al-Biruni, President Ghani said Al-Buruni, learned Sanskrit language and designed the connectivity between Afghanistan and South Asia.
The president said Al –Buruni was an experienced and talented philosopher and the Afghan youth should adopt his multi-dimensional thinking.
He urged the youth to deeply study his personality and see on what dimensions he worked and by knowing this, the youth could connect the past with the present.
According to him, the best example of Al-Buruni’s philosophy was the civilization of regional connectivity which remained a strong and global message for the generations to come.
The president said Afghanistan and Uzbekistan jointly held the seminar remembering Al-Biruni and in the near future another conference on the philosophy of Gawharshad Begum would be held in Uzbekistan.
According to another report, present at the ceremony, CE Dr. Abdullah also the Al Biruni’s works and studies should be considered in the basis of then era conditions.
He called Al-Biruni the regional and world scientific pride and said that his studies sand scientific works had deep impact in the human life.
