Kandahar City (BNA) At least five policemen were martyred and six more were injured following Taliban group attack in southern Kandahar province last night.
The incident took place when a group of Taliban fighters stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoint in relevant areas of Spin Boldak district of the province.
Zia Durani spokesman of Kandahar police told BNA correspondent, five policemen were martyred and six others were wounded following the attack.
Also, seven Taliban militants were killed and six others were wounded during clashes with Afghan security personnel, Durani added.
According to reports, the attackers entered from Pakistan to Spin Boldak district and after the attack and giving casualties fled beyond Durand Line.
