Kabul (BNA) A suicide attacker, who since long time wanted to assassinate General Abdul Rashid Dostum First Vice-President (VP) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was arrested by National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel in northern Jawzjan province the other day.
Latfullah Azizi governor of Jawzjan told BNA correspondent, the suicide attacker wanted to target first VP in a people sessions or during visit with him, but didn’t reach to his evil goal and was detained by NDS personnel, while he wanted to escape from Jawzjan to Shaberghan city.
According to reports, the arrested suicide attacker is member of Taliban group.
The suicide attacker is under investigation, Jawzjan governor added.
So far terrorist groups several times wanted to assassinate General Abdul Rashid Dostum, but didn’t succeed.
