Gen. Dostum Emphasizes For Enhancing Afghanistan-Turkey Relations

Kabul (BNA) The first vice president General Abdul Rashid Dostum in meeting with the head of Turkish overseas development agency TIKA and charge de affairs of Turkish embassy here yesterday called for enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, BNA reported.
Expressing gratitude over the support of Turkey to the reconstruction of Afghanistan, the vice president noted that Turkish contribution to Afghanistan in several sectors including the field of education has increased the educational capacity of Afghan youths, adding hundreds of Afghan youths graduated from Turkish educational centers are working in government departments here in Afghanistan.
The vice president also said that presently some 3800 Afghan girls and boys are receiving training in the fields of civil and military in Turkish educational institutions. For his part, the head of TIKA, conveyed the good wishes of Turkish president to the vice president, adding that Turkey would continue to stand alongside Afghans.
According to another report, the head of TIKA called on second vice president Sarwar Danesh and exchanged views on matters pertaining mutual interests.
