Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital Gets New Emergency Department

Kabul (BNA) Minister for Public Health, Suraya Dalil, the other day inaugurated the newly built emergency department in Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital. BNA reported, the emergency department has been constructed with financial assistance of Mohammad Yonus Mohmand, Director of a local construction and housing company.
The minister said the department was built at a cost of 28 million Afghanis, and is equipped with laboratory, operation theater for male and female, X-Ray room, staff room, and other facilities. She said the emergency department is an effective measure to deliver life-saving services to hundreds of people. Dalil while appreciating the private firm for humanitarian aid, urged other well-off people to come forward and contribute in development of the country. Mohammad Yonus Mohmand on the occasion said that daily the hospital receives too many patients from the capital city and provinces. “Therefore, to have an equipped and well-built emergency department was need of the hour,” he said.
He said the government solely not responsible for providing public services but investors, traders and private sector are too, because they also have some social responsibilities.
