
KABUL (BNA) The newly-elected Chinese Premier Li Qiang, 63, meets the press after the closing of the first session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) in Beijing, capital of China, on Monday.
During the press conference, Premier Li touched on a wide range of topics including creating jobs, promoting high-quality development,
China’s economic development, international relations, people’s livelihoods, education sector, China’s people health, and people income.
Li said the task of the new government is to turn the inspiring blueprint drawn up at the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China into an implementation scheme and work with the Chinese people to turn this blueprint into a beautiful reality step by step.
Li acknowledged that achieving the 2023 gross domestic product (GDP) growth target of around 5% for this year on the current high base of China’s economic output is not an easy task and requires redoubled efforts.
China will further expand opening up this year in alignment with high-standard international trade rules, and will open its door wider to the world with better business environment and services, Premier Li Qiang said Monday.
