KABUL (BNA) Amir Khan Muttaqi discussed delivering aid assistance process to the earthquake victims of Paktika and Khost provinces, in a meeting with Wang Yu, the Chinese ambassador in Kabul, on Sunday.
Ambassador Yu in Kabul shared details about his country’s aid to the earthquake victims and said that so far 8 planes loaded with humanitarian aid from that country have arrived in Afghanistan and other cargoes of humanitarian aid from that country are to be transferred to Kabul, said the Ministry in a statement.
The Afghan Foreign Minister Muttaqi, while appreciating China’s humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, has positively evaluated the efforts of the two countries’ ministries of foreign affairs to create a special mechanism for strengthening humanitarian and economic cooperation.
Muttaqi said that efforts are being made to strengthen the economic and commercial relations between the two countries and to increase the export of fresh and dry fruits as well as Afghan saffron to China.
Wang Yu Chinese ambassador, while reaffirming to boost trade and economic ties with Afghanistan, has vowed to establish effective relations between Afghan and Chinese businessmen in order to increase the amount of trade between the two countries.
Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Minister said in a telephone conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan that the process of issuing Chinese visas to Afghan businessmen and investors will be resumed.
