Herat (BNA) Three insurgents lost their lives in clashes between Afghan security forces in Herat provinces yesterday.
The clashes occurred when, a group of armed oppositions attacked on four Afghan security forces checkpoints in Shindand district of the province.
Security authorities in Herat province confirmed the incident say the clashes happened in Maldari, Zaghali, Jangal and Telfaroshi security checkpoints in the district.
Mohammad Aisa police chief of Shindand district told BNA, armed oppositions targeted the checkpoints from three directions.
According to police chief of the district, three insurgents were killed following the clashes.
