Jalalabad (BNA) Security personnel had rescued the cousin of finance minister Omar Zakhilwal from the grip of kidnappers yesterday, Nangarhar governor Gul Agha Shirzai said yesterday.
Quoting the governor, BNA reported that Nejatmal, 17, was abducted from the adjacent areas of his residence in Rodad district but rescued within hours from the custody of the kidnappers in Batikot district with the help of local residents and security forces.
Two of the abductors have been captured so far and operation is under way to detain the remaining two others. Shirzai added.
