Kabul (BNA) Unknown armed men assassinated a member of High Peace Council of Zabul province yesterday.
Mohammad Rasoul Kochi late yesterday was visiting his unfinished building work targeted by unknown armed men and killed in Qalat city.
Mohammad Ashraf Nasiri governor of Zabul in a telephonic contact confirming the incident said the attacker after assassinating Mohammad Rasoul Kochi succeeded to flee.
Mohammad Rasoul Kochi was the representative of nomadic (Kochi) people, in recent years he was one of the most influential elders in Zabul province.
Governor of Zabul not specifying any individuals or groups for the incident blamed the enemies of Afghanistan for the assassination.
Local authorities say, investigation is underway for identifying and capturing the suspects.
