Commission Media Violation Starts its Activity

KABUL (BNA) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on Thursday announced forming of the Commission Media Violation (CMV) in the framework of the Information and Culture Ministry to honor World Press Freedom day.

Zabihullah Mujahid was introduced as the head of the Commission of Media Violation.

During a press conference organized by the Information and Culture Ministry in cooperation with the Federation Unions of Journalists and media institutions to honor World press freedom day, spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid appreciated those media who continue their activities in the severe economic crisis.

Media and information are one of the values of each country, and Islamic Emirate fully supports media in the country, he added.

Mujahid said to address problems well, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan decided to form the Commission Media Violation.

Mohammad Bashir Hateef member of the Journalists federation and media union in Afghanistan shared detailed information about the state of media and journalists.

He reminded me of the past 9 months of media struggle and said the government should prevent institutions’ intervention.

The Information and Culture Ministry along with a designated committee by the media’s law should address the media’s problems, he added.

Lately, the Federation of Afghanistan Media asked the Islamic Emirate to form the Commission Media Violation (CMV) to prevent intervention.
