Kabul (BNA) The first meeting of the commission to hold international symposium on Ali Shir Nawaee with acting minister for information & culture, Sayed Mosadiq Khalili held meeting yesterday.
The meeting also attended by Hamayoun Khairi the deputy to the office of first vice president and numerous cultural figures, the ways and means to mark the 574th birthday anniversary of great poet and scholar Amirul Kalam Nizamudin Ali Shir Nawaee was discussed.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in an order issued the other day assigned the commission under acting minister for information & culture, and officials from the offices of first vice president, ministries for interior, foreign affairs, finance, higher education and the academy of science of Afghanistan to observe the 574th birthday anniversary of great poet and scholar Amirul Kalam Nizamudin Ali Shir Nawaee in its highest manner. It was decided that the next meeting of the commission to be held next Wednesday and the participants including Kabul University professors to present their view points with regard to the subject.
