NUG Has Special Attention To Daikundi Development: CE Abdullah

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Masouma Muradi, Daikundi governor, MPs, provincial councils’ members of civil society activists of the said province here yesterday at Sapidar Palace, a statement said.
According to CE press office, the meeting discussed key issues, including construction of the airport, education, health, equipment of the security forces, asphalting of the roads, boosting energy sector and administrative units in the said province. “Local government trying its best to address people’s problems, but to fully address the challenges before the people in the province, we need central government’s sincere cooperation,” governor Muradi said as quoted in the statement. The Daikundu representatives in Parliament asked Chief Executive to pay attention to development in the province, security challenges in those districts bordering other provinces. Reinforcement of Nawmish district, inauguration of Pato district, asphalting of the highways and extending of the provincial airport, the statement added. Meanwhile, provincial councils’ representatives said that previous government didn’t pay enough attention to Daikundi and the province remained neglected, asking national unity government to extend the project on construction of Gardandiwal road, construct water dams, provide better health services and boost administrative units. Hearing the problems and demands of Daikundi officials, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said that national unity government would spare no effort to address people’s problems, adding he would instruct Ministry of Finance to allocate budget for development projects in Daikundi province. Dr. Abdullah also went on saying that their demands on extending of the provincial airport, implementation of the development projects, security in the bordering districts and power supplies would be discussed in the cabinet meeting, the statement concluded. According to another report, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with residents of Badakhshan’s Sheghnan district and promised that the national unity government would spare no effort to address their problems.
