Parwan’s New Governor Assumes Office

Kabul (BNA) The newly appointed governor of Parwan province Eng. Mohammad Aasem was introduced to the staffs and employees of the provincial government by Hajji Mohammad Mohaqiq the second deputy to chief executive here yesterday and formally assumed office.
Hailing the services of former governor Abdul Basir Salangi, Mohaqiq said that reshuffling in fact is responsibility to honestly serve the people.
Speaking on the occasion, head of Parwan provincial council, Ghulam Bahawuddin Jilani announced his cooperation with the new governor. Thanking the people for expressing support, the new governor Eng. Aasem said he would spare no efforts in providing better services in all fields including health, reconstruction, fighting corruption and good governance.
Former governor Salangi said in his speech that 480 million US dollars had been invested in Parwan over the past six years and 85 percent of schools have new buildings and accommodations.
