Kabul (BNA) In a meeting with leadership panel of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, the President overviewed the ministry’s activities, a statement from Presidential Palace reported.
According to the statement, at the outset, the President was briefed on the ministry’s reformation and condition of the human resources, quoting the President as saying that the ministry was one of the strongest ministries in the past, but knows lacks capacity and competition capabilities. “We need to change the trade balance and Afghanistan should change to an exporter country. We need to bring change in exportation as well,” the President said, adding that the ministry is needed to have clear vision of commerce, so that to have active role in the market. The President went on as saying that working with old method not possible in current situation, adding that the ministry’s work force not meeting the requirements and needs reformation. The President also stressed on boosting the ground and air imports and exports.
