Targeting Religious Scholars Unprecedented in Afghanistan: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has termed the suicide attack on Milad-un-Nabi gathering an act against national value, saying the incident would not be remained without response.
According to BNA report, President Ghani made the remarks on Wednesday evening after he visited the wounded of recent suicide attack took place in Uranos Hotel, in Kabul Emergency Hospital. President Ghani prayed to Allah for the early recovery of injured and said such a ruthless and barbaric attack had never been carried out in the history of Afghanistan to target the religious scholars, holy Quran and Milad-un-Nabi. The enemies of Afghanistan have violated all moral and religious boundaries by targeting political and traditional structure and national identity, President Ghani was quoted as saying, vowing that the incident will not remain unanswered. The President explained the groups who had carried out explosions and suicide attacks for the first time in Afghanistan were responsible for Tuesday’s attack. President Ghani added the Taliban could not escape from responsibilities by only condemning of the attack, but they should practically work for peace to end the killing Afghans. Neighboring countries provide sanctuaries, support, training and financial resources for the suicide attackers entering to Afghanistan, he said, urging on international allies to identify the sanctuaries, countries and governments supporting the terror groups. The President asked Doctor of Emergency Hospital to cure the injured as better as possible. There has been so far no claim of responsibility for the bombing.
