President Ghani Accepts Credentials of Non-Resident Swiss Ambassador

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan accepted the credentials of the new non-resident ambassador of Switzerland to Afghanistan Thomas Kolly on Wednesday afternoon.
Based on information of Presidential Palace press office to BNA, Ambassador Kolly passed greetings of the Swiss government leadership to the President, affirming strengthening mutual cooperation between the two countries.
President Ghani congratulated Ambassador Kolly on his new posting and thanked the Government of Switzerland for its cooperation in various arenas to Afghanistan, particularly pledged in Brussels and Warsaw Conferences.
Highlighting that Switzerland possesses useful experiences in terms of vocational education, President said that Afghanistan is interested in benefiting from those experiences as the Afghan vocational education system is modeled on the Swiss pattern. President Ghani wished ambassador Kolly success in his new mission.
On behalf of the Government and people of Switzerland, Ambassador Kolly reaffirmed the commitment that Switzerland continues to support the people and Government of Afghanistan. He said that Switzerland stands ready to provide cooperation to the Afghan Government on technical vocation.
