Dr. Raheen Named Four Streets In Kunduz Province

Kunduz (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture in honor of declaring of Ghazni as the capital of Islamic cultural civilization and the city of peace and friendship named three streets after Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi, Ghazna and Hakim Sanayaee.
According to BNA Dr. Raheen before cutting the red ribbon told the media that he asks all the governors and mayors of the provinces to name three streets in their respective provinces in the name of Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi, Ghazna and Hakim Sanayee. 
Jagdulek governor of Kunduz welcomed the naming of streets and said that they honors of the people of Afghanistan, adding that Kunduz is the first province having this honor to name streets after those historic personalities of the country. 
Another street was also named after late Abdul Wahed Azizi by Dr. Raheen. 
He also asked the Kunduz Governor to name a street after the shaheds of Ibrahimi family as well. 
According to another report, Dr. Raheen and other accompanying delegation met with elders and influential during which the elders asked them, a day of Hamal should be allocated that coincides with hoisting of the flag of Imam Sahib and the Lala Festival and this day should be celebrated at the green hills of the province.
Meanwhile, Dr. Raheen also met with representatives of 20 different civil society foundations and discussed varying issues with them. 
Dr. Raheen praised the role of the media and the civil society as well according to another report, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen the minister for information and culture during his visit to Kunduz had praised the people of Kunduz for preservation of historic monuments.
Dr. Raheen who was accompanied by Amirzai Sangin the minister for communication and information technology during the tour to Kunduz he also held meeting with the elders and cultural figures of Kudnuz province and appreciated their contribution in preserving historic sites and developing cultural activities there.
Kunduz governor Mohammad Anwar Jagdulak also spoke on the occasion and briefed the ministers on the security situation, reconstruction process and achievement in the field of culture in the province.
