Youth Parliament To Hold 2nd Session In May

Kabul (BNA) All preparations for holding 2nd round of youth parliament session have been taken and will be held in coming weeks, according to convening committee of Afghanistan youth parliament.
In a session held with participation of deputy minister of youth affairs for information and culture ministry Dr. Kamal Sadat, advisor to President on youth affairs Shamim Katawazi, head of secretariat for Senate Hafizullah Hashimi, UNPF’s youth section director Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad, UN expert Mrs. Bella, speaker of the youth parliament Agha Mohammad Quraishi and directors of youth affairs deputy ministry, modality of holding, setting date of the session and other relevant issues were discussed. In the session, deputy minister of youth affairs said in the second session of the youth parliament, young lawmakers by regular programs and national discussions would hold the session.
He added that all young lawmakers have been instructed to assess problems and demands of their provinces’ youth and share them with top officials of ministries. In the session, advisor to President on youth affairs Shamim Katawazi added that the leaders of national unity government were determined that the session should be held in a better way so that youth could reach their goals. It is worth mentioning that the first session of the youth parliament was opened by President Ghani last year in new building of lower house of parliament.
