President Ghani Meets Outgoing Indian Ambassador To Kabul

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met, Amar Sinha, outgoing Indian ambassador to Kabul here the other day in Arg, and praised his activities during his mission in Afghanistan, a statement from presidential palace said.
Hinting on importance of friendship, cultural and historical ties between the two countries, President Ghani called India as the real friend of Afghanistan.
Pointing to the efforts of Afghanistan and India for bolstering ties, the outgoing Indian ambassador said that his country is committed to long-term cooperation with Afghanistan in different spheres. “India will remain the real friend of Afghanistan”, Sinha added.
The president also thanked India’s generous assistance, in particular in military and development sectors to Afghanistan.
According to another report, Hikmat Khalil Karzai deputy minister on political affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with outgoing Indian Ambassador here the other day and thanked the ambassador for his efforts in bridging ties between the two nations.
