Hundred School Girls Poisoned In Balkh

Kabul (BNA) More than one hundred school girls were poisoned in Khurasan school of Mazare-Sharif city.
The poisoned students transferred to the hospital and presently their health condition is improving.
Qais Mehir Hayeen education chief of Balkh said BNA, these girls were poisoned because of the gases arising from a septic well located near the school.
But an employee of health care center of Mazare-Sharif who wanted to be anonymous said BNA, the incident has been caused by the release of the poisoning materials in the school environment the symptoms could be observed on students.
Some students said they were poisoned by smelling a gas in compound of school, and then became unconscious.
It should be mentioned that hundreds of school girls have been poisoned so far.
The education authorities blame septic wells for these kinds of incidents.
