NPC Approves 15 Contracts Worth 10.7b Afghanis

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the session of National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved 15 contracts worth 10.7 billion Afghani.
In the session held yesterday at presidential palace, national procurement commission restored to further review procurement contract of 30 cabling stations of ministry for water and energy and suggestion of public works ministry in connection with construction of 1st and 2nd phase of Kandahar-Uruzgan road.
The commission also approved suggestion of MoD related to cancelation of the ministry’s wood fuel contract and decreasing of contract price for construction of a drug-addicts’ treatment complex in Helmand.
The commission rejected 11 clothing elements of MoI and decided that company of the project as well as Procurement Company for fuel of MoD should be deprived from participation in tendering due to violation of the contract.
The session was attended by second vice president Sarwar Danesh, chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, ministers of finance, economy, justice and officials of national procurement authority, representatives of SIGAR and members of finance and budget commission of lower and upper houses.
