Sar-e-Pul (BNA) Sar-e-Pul security officials say they repulsed an armed Taliban attack in Balkhab district of Sar-e-Pul.
According BNA, the Sar-i-Pul police chief said in a statement that a number of armed Taliban militants who attacked the Balkhab district of the province were faced with a security forces response.
The source added that eight Taliban insurgents were killed and 11 others were wounded, a number of enemy weapons were recovered and other Taliban fled the area.
