NPC Approves Five Contracts Worth 5.5 Billion AFG

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the national procurement commission’s session was held Sunday evening in which five contracts worth 5.5 billion AFG were approved.

Contract for providing fuel to chief executive and general attorney offices, feasibility study and master plan for development central and trading areas in 1st PD of Kabul city relating to Capital Region Independent Development Authority (CRIDA), Kunduz and Takhar’s Archi and Shahrawan canals reconstruction project relating to ministry of water and energy and required foodstuffs contract for directorates of orphanages and kindergartens relating to ministry of labor, social affairs, martyrs and disabled.  National procurement commission rejected construction project of Asan Khedmat Authority’s building relating to ministry of finance and it was decided that the project should be put for bidding again.

In the session, related project to CRIDA was discussed and was approved by the commission for significance of the project.

After overall discussions in connection with project of ministry of water and energy, it was decided that the previous contractor who was committed to violation should soon be introduced to national procurement commission’s office in order to be deprived of the contract.

The session also discussed third phase of Kamal Khan dam project and asserted that work on the project was key based on current circumstances.
