“Turkmenistan Is Our Key Partner & Strategic Neighbor,” President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met the other day with Turkmen deputy premier and foreign affairs minister Rashid Muradov at presidential palace.
Turkmen minister of foreign affairs conveyed the best wishes of his country’s president official invitation to President Ghani. He extended condolence and sympathy over 209th Shaheen Corps incident to the president and people of Afghanistan and wished paradise to all those martyred in the incident. Giving information related to cooperation of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan economic and security commissions, Muradov said the activities of the respective commissions were going on in a good asserting that peace and stability in Afghanistan were one of the desires of his country’s President.
Afterwards, President Ghani while praising the Turkmen minister for expressing sympathy, cooperation and assistance to Afghanistan welcomed official visit of the Turkmen President, saying that he would pay a visit to the country in a suitable time. “Turkmenistan is our key partner and strategic neighbor as we have seen the country as a key and strategic country in the region for a long years of time”, President Ghani asserted, adding that during the coming four years, Afghan special forces would increase by two fold and capability of the air force would also increase so that insecure areas of the country would come under control of the government. “Recently Afghanistan defense and security forces have brought heavy casualties to terrorist groups and a large number of their commanders have been perished”, the country’s President said, adding that military operation has been intensified against Daesh and the group is about to annihilate and the operation would continue. President Ghani asserted that fundamental reforms would soon implemented in the framework of security and defense organs.
