Attack On Indian Consulate In Jalalabad

Jalalabad (BNA) Eight civilians were martyred in a suicide attack on Indian Consulate in Jalalabad city, the capital of Nangarhar province this morning.
In the incident, 21 other civilians including children were wounded.
According to the reports, a suicide attacker who wanted to enter into the Indian consulate in Jalalabad city was identified by security officials and ordered to stop but the attacker exploded his improvised explosive device in that time.
General Shareef Amen, police chief of Nangarhar said BNA, in the attack; eight civilians including six children have lost their lives and 21
other civilians including three policemen and a number of children were wounded.
Gulistan Ghalib, BNA’s correspondent reported from the site that a number of shops and houses were also damaged in this attack.
Local authorities of Nangarhar province blamed the Taliban for the failed attack on Indian consulate and said that the security officials started hunting to identify and arrest the culprits of this terrorist incident.
Some blame ISI for designing such terrorist attacks on Indian political Missions in Afghanistan.
