Deputy FM: Removal Banking Restrictions will Boost Economic Cooperation

KABUL (BNA) Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister, Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai discussed in a meeting on Tuesday the Afghans living in Iran situation with Seyed Hossein Mortazavi, the deputy of the Iranian embassy in Kabul.

In a meeting, the deputy Foreign Minister called on the Iranian side to remove banking restrictions for Afghans living in that country, said Afghan Foreign Ministry in a statement.

The Iranian side for his part, called Afghanistan and Iran two friendly neighboring countries said that he will convey the message for the removal of banking restrictions for Afghan living in Iran.

Pointing to the border concern between the two sides, the deputy of the Iranian embassy said that his country will not allow “fanatic elements” to damage the ties between the two countries.

Deputy FM thanked Iran’s cooperation and said the removal of banking restrictions for Afghan refugees will boost economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran, new banking platform some restrictions have been imposed on the process of providing banking services for foreigners in that country.

Lately, Afghans living in Iran were complained about using banking services, while, transferring or receiving money.
