Deputy PM Baradar Inaugurated LLC Worth $250m in Kabul

KABUL (BNA) With an initial investment of 250 million, a limited liability company (LLC) named “Afghan Invest” opened in Kabul on Saturday and officially received its license.

A ceremony held on the occasion of inaugurating the company at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul was attended by senior officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, a number of cabinet members, diplomatic, ambassadors based in Kabul, and members of the Afghan private sector.

During the meeting, Shir baz Kameen Zada, Director of Afghan Invest, briefed the participants on the company’s goals and policies and said that the limited liability company is ready to invest in four key sectors of the country (mining, energy, construction, and Agriculture) to invest $250 to 300 million.

He added that currently 13 investors from different provinces of the country have invested in the company, but later it is estimated that the number will increase to 5o investors.

Kameen Zada called on the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and its people to fully support the company so that the country can stand on its own two feet economically.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said in his speech: “The Islamic Emirate fully supports businessmen and investors as in the past and we hope that Traders of every nation and province should be given an opportunity to share their capital investing in the company.

Meanwhile, Bilal Karimi, Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, assured in his speech that the Islamic Emirate is committed to supporting the business community and strives to create a conducive environment for business development in the country.

Afterward, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, spoke on the importance of security and investment and recommended to the officials of the company that the purpose of its activities should be the will the afflicted Afghan nation. You have to provide services and build the country, he added.

He said that as a result of 20 years of jihad and the sacrifice of Afghans, the country is now secure, national sovereignty has been restored, national unity has been strengthened and the Islamic system is in power in the country.

In the ceremony, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Deputy Foreign Minister, assured that Afghanistan’s soil would never be used against others, expressly neighboring countries, and called on others to reciprocate.

Stanekzai called on Afghans to unite and support the Islamic system and once again called on them to come to Afghanistan and live with dignity.

Acting Commerce and Industry Minister Nooruddin Azizi also expressed his support for the ministry from businessmen and investors and called on all Afghans, particularly national investors and businessmen, to join hands for the country’s self-reliance and for the country’s development.

At the end of the ceremony, Khairuddin Mayeel, Representative of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, called on all businessmen and investors to focus on small and large investments in order to create job opportunities in the country and in the Islamic Emirate. leaders and officials also called for intensifying their efforts to attract domestic and international investment.
