Deputy PM Stressed Transparency in Govt, Foreign Agencies

KABUL (BNA) A ministerial and foreign agencies meeting was held according to Arg statement under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi.

The meeting focused on fighting against corruption and developing further cooperation between government and foreign agencies, said the statement released by Arg.

According to the Statement, at the outset of the meeting, the Deputy PM, citing the improvement in coordination between the government and domestic and foreign organizations, said that the procedure for controlling and coordinating the affairs of domestic and foreign organizations is based on the instruction of the supreme leader is arranged.

He said the procedure will facilitate the work between sectoral agencies and organizations increase transparency and eliminate the possibility of corruption.

Later, the Acting Ministers of Economy and Public Health shared information with officials of domestic and foreign institutions, adding that Providing services to the people, and creating transparency and accountability are important goals of government departments.

The Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan who also attended the meeting praised the efforts to increase coordination between organizations and government agencies and explained that after the study and evaluation, he will discuss this in future meetings.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of several departments in Afghanistan assured the continuation of assistance and cooperation with Afghans.
