Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met outgoing Australian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Nicola Gordon-Smith, here in his office the other day, a statement said.
Thanking Australia and Ambassador Smith’s support to Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah called Australia a friend of Afghanistan and praised role of Ambassador Smith in strengthening and bolstering of the bilateral relations, the statement from Chief Executive Press Office said yesterday. Hinting to continued cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador Smith assured of Australia’s support to Afghanistan. Both side discussed peace process and upcoming presidential elections, the statement added.
