Terrorism Must Be Eliminated, Not Supported

Saturday, July 01, 2017

Kabul (BNA) One of the main pivots of discussions in NATO defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels, is RSM support of ANSF and how security and stability could be restored in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan stability is important to the world including NATO members because its stability is closely connected to the world security and stability. Instability in Afghanistan would jeopardize global security.
The sensitivity of this NATO ministers meeting is due to simultaneous deterioration of security situation and intensification of violence in Afghanistan. This situation has not only concerned public opinions inside Afghanistan but also the Afghan global partners too.
The main reason behind deteriorating security in Afghanistan is this that some regional governments and secret services support the warring terrorist groups with the Afghan government.
These twenty one warring factions are involved in a nasty proxy war of their supporters with the Afghan government and ANSF.
Pakistan is one of these supporters. Pakistan has always been accused for support of terrorist groups who are fighting the Afghan people.
Since long times, these terrorist groups have set up hideouts, safe sanctuaries and training center in Pakistani cities and border areas and received financial, armistice logistic and intelligence support from Pakistan.
In current NATO ministers meeting in Brussels, several issues including deploying of fresh reinforcement aimed at improving of ANSF combat capabilities and capacities against terrorists will be discussed.
Since some times the Washington authorities are involved in assessment and ultimately determining a new US strategy on Afghanistan that includes increasing of American troops.
According to MoD authorities the goal behind visit of US chief of general staff Gen Joseph Danfort to Kabul is assessment of NATO efforts in this country.
Afghanistan expects two basic issues from current Brussels meeting: continuation ad even expansion of these NATO countries support of ANSF and further equipping of these forces with artillery and air facilities.
According to Afghan authorities this is the most effective way in war on terror.
It is thought that this way is cheap and less expensive.
Secondly, essential pressure should be exerted on terror supporting countries and those who divide terrorism to good and bad. These terror supporters should be forced to give up support and sincerely embark on war on terror and common enemy of the world civilization.
