Afghan Handicraft Products Compete With Best

Kabul (BNA) The handicraft in Afghanistan has its own historical background which is definitely the honor of all Afghans people and now is being promoted in various cities of the country.
The Afghan citizens, in particular, the women are interested in such unique tradition which are made and produced from different means and tools, obtaining world popularity.
Mohammad Naser Nabizada, the head of Pamir wool-weaving factory in connection with the traditional handicrafts said that the Pamir wool weaving factory has been producing wool veil-weaving in Kabul and its branch in Aqcha of Mazar-e-Sharif, which mostly veils are being produced in Mazar-e-Sharif.  “We have 14 workers who works in veil weaving and our wool-weaving works are improving.” Nabizada added, saying that we make efforts to enhance the woolen veil-weaving products. The factory’s wool-weaving tools and means are prepared by Afghan carpenters. The Afghan citizens who have the wool-weaving occupations receive a good income for their families and it will improve the quality of the handicraft’s productions as well.
The factory that employed fourteen workers has been producing wool-weaving-works by hands through these labors. Nabizada has described if we export our wool- weaving products abroad, it would be very expensive, and so we have to sell our products to Afghan citizens and partially to the foreigners. Naim Nabizada, who is one of workers in the wool-weaving- company, said that I have been working in this company since approximately 12 years, adding that at the moment he produces different woolen veils in accordance with the customer’s demands.
He has emphasized that we use from simple means and tools which have been made from the wood in Afghanistan. It was said that the prices of wool are different and we have been making efforts, improving the quality of our products. Karima Malikzada
