KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Interior Affairs’ spokesperson, Mufti Abdul Matin Qani, announced that the passport department has generated nearly two billion Afghanis in revenue over the past two months.
Qani stated that the General Directorate of Passports, a division of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, collected this revenue in February and March of the current year.
This substantial income is a result of the department’s distribution of 326,000 passports within a single month, contributing one billion and 844 million Afghanis to the government treasury.
