Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has appointed Abdul Salam Rahimi as his special envoy and State Minister in Peace Affairs.
The Presidential Press Office in a statement said Saturday that President Ghani approved Rahim’’s appointment as his special envy and state minister in Peace Affairs.
The statement further added that President Ghani has approved Raimi’s appointment in line with the article 65 and Item 13 of the Constitution of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Office of the President said Rahimi will participate in cabinet meetings, National Security Council meetings, meetings of the high commissions and high councils.
Rahimi was previously serving as Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, ARC Palace.
