Dozens of Criminals Arrested in Kunduz

KUNDUZ (BNA) Kunduz police said on Tuesday they have arrested 180 people on suspicion of committing criminal offenses in the last 3 months in that province.

The provincial police chief of Kunduz Qari Bakhtyar Muaz told BNA that in the last three months, 180 people have been arrested on suspicion of committing various crimes in that province.

He said that these people were arrested on suspicion of various crimes such as murder, kidnapping, robbery, blackmailing people, gambling, etc.

According to him, 15 rounds of various weapons, 1,570kg of drugs, 300 bottles of alcoholic beverages, a large amount of light and heavy ammunition, and 27 vehicles were discovered from the arrested persons.

The technical teams of the Kunduz Security Command received and destroyed a large number of unexploded mines and projectiles that remained from the decades of wars, he added.

Bakhtyar asked the people of Kunduz to cooperate with the security forces in order to provide better security.
