President Ghani, Abdullah Meet China’s Public Security Minister

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Guo Shengkun, the Public Security Minister of the People’s Republic of China here Sunday and exchanged views on matters pertaining trade and economic relations between the two countries as well as peace and security in Afghanistan, Presidential press office reported BNA.
Heading a ranking delegation, the Chinese dignitary also discussed the agreements inked between the two countries during the recent visit of President Ghani to China and said for their implementation. Thanking China for its contribution to Afghanistan, President Ghani said both the countries would remain friends and Afghanistan as a good partner is committed for peace and economic development in China and the region.
According to another report, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Public Security Minister of China, Guo Shengkun here on Sunday at the Sapidar Palace. 
In the meeting matters relating mutual interests including the agreements inked between the two countries for enhancing relations during the recent visit of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to Beijing.
The Chinese dignitary said that the aim of his visit to Afghanistan is to pursue the agreements inked between the two countries during the recent visit of president Ghani.
Terming terrorism as the common enemy of both China and Afghanistan he also strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. Dr. Abdullah described China as a close friend of Afghanistan and expressed gratitude over its contribution to the rebuilding process of his country.
According to another report, chairman of Afghan-Turk schools in Afghanistan, Neman Erdogan called on Dr. Abdullah Abdullah here yesterday and briefed him about the activities and the quality of the Afghan-Turk schools in the country.
Around 7,000 students are getting education in Afghan-Turk schools in Afghanistan, he said, adding 4000 others have already graduated. During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah said that the government would continue to support the Afghan-Turk schools in Afghanistan.
Mohammad Hanif Atmar, national security advisor to the president also met yesterday with Chinese public security minister and his accompanied delegation, discussing bilateral relations, security and economic cooperation, joint counterterrorism and transnational crimes, cooperation in technical equipment and training of  the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), stressing on fixing a joint mechanism in border between Afghanistan, China and Tajikistan.
