China, Pakistan, Afghanistan Tripartite Session Held In Islamabad

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan, China and Pakistan tripartite session was held Wednesday in Islamabad with participation of Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Chinese foreign affairs minister Wang Ye.
In the session, the participants agreed that China, Pakistan and Afghanistan were close and key neighbors of each other. Increasing mutual trust and cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan was in the benefit for the two countries and all other regional countries. China assured of its continued support and cooperation for improvement of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan and would play positive role in this regard. The trio agreed that maintaining peace and reconstruction in Afghanistan was the most significant national interest of Afghanistan, asking the international community to assure of their commitments to helping Afghanistan, China and Pakistan and play its role in this regard. In a joint press release issued in this regard, the trio agreed that maintaining peace in Afghanistan was a fundamental condition for maintaining lasting security in the country. China and Pakistan in consideration to principal of respect to national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Afghanistan and peace talks led by Afghanistan will provide complete cooperation in connection with resuming peace talks in Afghanistan. The trio also agreed that terrorism was a common threat towards peace and security of the world and region.
