6 Contracts Worth 370 Million Afghani Approved

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurements Commission (NPC) has signed six contracts worth 370 million Afghanis, a statement said the other day.
The signed contracts included establishment of IT center in Faryab University, construction of road between Jani Khil and Sorkai Kotal in southern Paktia province, construction of road between Zaranj and Kung Bakhsh district of Nimruz province, said 6 contracts worth 370 million afg approved the statement. Some other projects including construction of road between Faiz Abad, the provincial capital of Badakhshan and the adjacent Baharak district, with 44 km long and two other provincial related projects had been among the approved contracts, the statement added. The NPC rejected the suggested contracts of the ministry of interior and said the two projects on supplying the clothing for the Hamid Karzai International Airport should be put in open bidding and then discussed for approval, according to the statement. Contracts presented by the ministry of rural development for construction of the administrative building of the Balkh province returned for reassessment and provided clear instruction for reviewing of the Paghman Palace to the commission. The commission obliged the ministry of finance and the presidential senior advisor to investigate the entire projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well, the statement said.
