Dr. Raheen Visits Balkh To Assess Historical Monuments

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen arrived in Balkh to assess historical monuments in the province. 
Welcomed by Mohammad Afzal chairman of the provincial council and other higher local authorities met with Balkh Governor Atta Mohammad Noor. 
At the meeting they evaluated the media status in Balkh and the status of the historical monuments in the province. 
Accompanied by the Balkh Governor Dr. Raheen went to the Rauzai of Hazrate Ali (PBUH) and visited some historical sites there. 
He also took note of the main dome of Rauza Sharif having creaked in one part and promised cooperation of its repairing. 
Dr. Raheen also visited the tombs of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan and Amir Sher Ali Khan that are under reparation by the ministry and issued instruction of keeping their originality. 
Dr. Raheen also visited the department of information and culture, library, public library, US cultural center and the National TV station and youth affairs section. 
He also visited the Sadat printing press that is the greatest publishing plant in the province.  He also visited Pule Imam Bukri 20km away from Mazar city. 
The bridge has around 500 years and it has been built on the Balkh River. 
He also visited the entertainment site of Chashimae Shafa and historical mosque having around 1100 years of background. 
It has been relatively damaged as a result of water rise there. He instructed the officials of the ministry to start repairing of these historical sites as soon as possible.
