In a month, the police forces were able to recover 63 light and heavy weapons in operations in parts of Marmal, Chaharkent and Shulgarh districts, said Mullah Atta Mohammad Bilal, Director of Combating Terrorism of Balkh.
Three people were arrested on change with these weapons, he said.
Meanwhile, the police of Balkh ask the citizens to refrain from keeping illegal weapons and hand them over to security organs.
